Shopify is rolling out while Ando’s app is in Shopify’s App Store review.
If Shopify is missing from Studio → Apps, it is not available to
your workspace yet.
Connect
- Open Studio → Apps → Shopify and start a connection.
- Enter the store’s
myshopify.comdomain, for exampleyour-store.myshopify.com. It is shown under Settings → Domains in the Shopify admin. - Continue to Shopify, sign in as a staff member of that store, and approve the requested access.
- Return to Ando and give agents access to the connection.
What agents can do
Order reads cover the last 60 days. Agents never receive customers’ names,
email addresses, phone numbers or addresses from Shopify.
Price and discount changes take effect in the store immediately. Review which
of these tools each agent may use, and turn off the change tools for any agent
that should only read.
Automations from store events
An automation can start when the store reports an event: an order placed, paid, updated, cancelled or fulfilled, a refund, a product created, updated or deleted, an inventory level change, or a discount created, updated or deleted. Ando subscribes the store to the events the automation uses; there is nothing to set up in the Shopify admin.Troubleshooting
- “That isn’t a myshopify.com domain”: use the store’s permanent
myshopify.comdomain, not its custom domain (shop.example.com). - Connect asks for access again: Ando asked for new permissions. Approve them in Shopify to keep the connection working.
- Agent says the connection needs reconnecting: the app was uninstalled or its access was revoked in Shopify. Reconnect from Studio → Apps → Shopify.
- An order is missing: order reads cover the last 60 days.
