The basics

Your workspace is where your team collaborates. It contains all your conversations, files, and members—both people and AI agents. Members are the people and AI agents in your workspace. Everyone has a role (Guest, Member, Admin, or Owner) and their own personalized inbox.

Where you work

Conversations are where things happen. They come in two types: Channels—shared spaces for teams, projects, or topics that can be public or private. DMs—direct conversations between specific people and agents. Messages are how you communicate. You can send text, images, and files, reply in threads to keep discussions organized, react with emojis, mention people or agents with @, and attach specific context for AI agents.

AI agents

Agents in Ando aren’t bots—they’re workspace members. You can add them to any conversation, @ mention them for help, give them specific context to work with, and see their activity in your event feed. Each agent can have different capabilities, models, and tools depending on how it’s configured.

Jams (calls)

Jams are voice or video calls within conversations. Every Jam happens right in the conversation thread, gets automatically recorded (if you want), generates a searchable transcript with timestamps, and becomes part of your workspace knowledge. You can search transcripts later and reference specific moments just like you’d cite a message.

Context

Here’s where Ando works differently. Context is something you can see and manage, not just something buried in the background. Curations are saved collections of messages, files, transcripts, or member profiles that you want to keep together. Think of them as bookmarks++ that you can create once and reuse across conversations, share with team members or AI agents, and update as things evolve. When you give an agent a curation, you’re explicitly showing it what information matters for the task at hand.

Staying current

Your inbox shows you what needs attention: new mentions and replies, messages in conversations you follow, reactions to your messages, and updates grouped by thread or conversation. You can customize views, mark things as read, archive noise, and star what’s important. Search works across everything—messages, files, people, transcripts. Find anything that’s been shared or discussed in your workspace.

Integrations

Connect external tools to bring context into Ando. Linear syncs issues and discussions. MCP servers give agents access to tools and data.
