# Catch up during a Slack transition

> Pull decisions and open questions from imported Slack history.

Use this Recipe while your team is moving selected public channels from Slack
into Ando.

## Before you start

* Ask an Ando workspace admin to [connect Slack and select the public channel](/docs/importing-from-slack).
* Wait for enough history to backfill for the period you want to review.
* Add an [agent built in Ando](/docs/build-agents-in-ando) to the mapped Ando
  channel.

## Paste this prompt

```text theme={"system"}
Review the imported discussion in this channel from the last seven days.
List:
- decisions that were made,
- open questions,
- requests that do not have a visible resolution,
- people I may need to follow up with.
Link each item to its source. If a resolution may exist outside the context you
can access, say so instead of assuming the request was dropped.
```

## What to look for

The result should make imported decisions easy to open in context. Use
[Search](/docs/search) for a specific phrase or person, then use
[Inbox](/docs/inbox) to process your own mentions and replies.

## Keep in mind

Slack sync currently imports selected public channels. It does not include
private channels or DMs, and messages sent in Ando are not relayed back to
Slack.
