# Sentry

> Connect Sentry for agent investigation and issue cards in Ando.

Connect Sentry so agents can find issues, inspect error events, and read traces.
You can also send new issues to a channel as cards that update as the issue changes.

## Connect

1. Open **Studio → Apps → Sentry** and start a connection.
2. Choose whether the connection belongs to the workspace or to you.
3. Continue to Sentry and approve the requested access for the account and
   organization you want to use.
4. Return to Ando and give the agent access to the connection. For a personal
connection, use the agent's **Access** tab.

Ask the agent to find an existing issue in the intended project to confirm
access.

## Send issues to a channel

A workspace admin can open **Issues in Ando** on the Sentry app page and select
**Set up**. Approve the installation in Sentry, then return to Ando to finish
creating the **#sentry** channel.

The channel feed and agent investigation are separate setup paths. Giving an
agent a Sentry connection does not create the issue feed.

## Choose who can use it

Review the connection's enabled tools and approval rules. Ando access stays
within the organization and project permissions granted by Sentry. See
[connection permissions](/docs/connecting-apps-to-ando) for workspace and
personal access rules.

## Troubleshooting

* **Project or issue missing:** check the connected Sentry account's access
and that the agent is using the intended organization and project.
* **Cannot set up the channel:** ask a workspace admin to use **Issues in Ando**;
approval in Sentry is also required.
* **Connection no longer works:** use the connection's reconnect action when
offered. A Sentry app installation must be restored through Sentry rather
  than reconnected from Ando.
