# Linear

> Connect Linear so agents can find and update your team's work.

Connect Linear so agents can find issues, read project context, and create or
update tickets without you copying the details between apps.

## Connect

1. Open **Studio → Apps → Linear** and start a connection.
2. Choose **Workspace** for shared team access or **Personal** for your account.
3. Continue to Linear, select the workspace you want to connect, and approve
   the requested access.
4. Return to Ando and give the agent access to the connection. For a personal
   connection, use the agent's **Access** tab.

Ask the agent to find an existing issue before asking it to create or update
one. Confirm it is using the intended Linear workspace.

## Choose who can use it

A workspace connection authorizes Ando as an app. A personal connection uses
your Linear identity. Review enabled tools and approval rules, especially for
creating issues or changing their status and assignment.

personal access rules. Access in Ando still depends on the permissions granted
in Linear.

## Troubleshooting

* **Wrong workspace:** add or reconnect the connection using the intended
  Linear workspace, and give it a clear name in Ando.
* **Agent cannot find an issue:** check its connection access and that the
  connected account can reach the issue's team.
* **Agent can read but cannot update:** check enabled tools, approval rules,
  and the access granted in Linear.
