# Command-K

> Open Ando's command menu to jump, search, and take common actions quickly.

Command-K is the fastest way to move around Ando and start common actions without leaving the keyboard.

## Open Command-K

Press `Command-K` on Mac or `Ctrl-K` on Windows to open the command menu. You can also open it from the sidebar.

## Find what you need

Use Command-K to jump to conversations, people, settings, and workspace actions. Start typing the name of the thing you want, then choose the result.

Command-K is useful when you know where you want to go but do not want to scan the sidebar.

## Run actions

Use Command-K for quick actions such as creating a conversation, starting a Jam, opening settings, or inviting teammates. Available actions depend on your workspace role and permissions.
