Use these skills with an assistant connected to Ando MCP. They teach your assistant how to find decisions, catch up, coordinate work, and use shared context. You can read the guides yourself or give them to your agent. You do not need the Codex or ChatGPT plugin to use them.

Use a skill

  1. Connect your assistant to Ando using the MCP setup guide. Access follows the workspace and identity you connect as.
  2. Choose a workflow below. Use Copy page, download its SKILL.md, or extract the ZIP to get all skills and supporting references.
  3. If your agent supports skill folders, load the extracted ando-skills/skills directory using your host’s supported setup. Keep the adjacent references and scripts directories in place so relative references still resolve. Otherwise, give your assistant the guide link or paste its instructions.
  4. Ask for a concrete outcome, including the conversation and time window when relevant. For example: “Catch me up on #engineering since Monday. Link the decisions and open follow-ups.”

Load through MCP

Ask your connected assistant: “Use get_skill to load ando-catch-up, then catch me up on #engineering since Monday.” The tool returns the skill’s text, its supporting references, a version, a content sha256, and the guide url. Available names appear in the tool description. Call get_skill with this input (the same shape in the direct and compact catalogs):
Fetching a skill follows the connected identity and does not expand its permissions. MCP retrieval records the canonical skill name and retrieval outcome in Ando’s existing tool telemetry. Repeated requests count separately; use from downloaded files or a plugin is not measured by these requests. The bundled Ando plugin separately requests a best-effort record_skill_usage signal when a skill is selected. Reports distinguish those agent-reported invocations from MCP retrievals; neither proves that a workflow succeeded. Agents can also fetch the machine-readable bundle, which contains the Markdown entries and the encoded ZIP archive. Individual Markdown downloads link to supporting guides on this site. Use the ZIP when your agent needs local reference files. Hosts differ in skill discovery, OAuth support, and available tools; follow your host’s setup instructions.

Migrations

These are the same instructions bundled with the Ando plugin. The bundle also includes ando-plugin, an alternate entry name for the general Ando skill. Skills supply instructions. They do not grant access, connect external accounts, or start a background agent. Looped channels and alerts need the provider connections and runtime described in their guides. Your assistant should inspect the tools available on its current connection and send or change things only within your authorization.
